The Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID)
is the UK's highest profile student-led conference, bringing together practitioners, academics and professionals from across the world to discuss international development issues, attracts over 400 participants from the UK and beyond, bringing together the decision makers of today with the decision makers of tomorrow. This Years conference is taking place on the 24-26th of February and is asking Where Next for Development? A full weekend of keynotes, panels and workshops discussing and evaluating the new directions, challenges and solutions which are currently emerging in the field, with speakers such as acclaimed author Linda Polman, Human Rights Legal Expert Geoffrey Robertson QC, Chair of PZ Cussons and Patron of Concern Universal Richard Harvey, Erik Berglof, Chief Economist at the European Reconstruction and Development Bank, Dan Smith, Secretary General of International Alert and the new Chief Economist at DfID Stefan Dercon, as well as representatives from the WHO, ChristianAid, ActionAid, Trickle Up and many many more!
AND new features for OxFID this year 2012 include: a development case study workshop, a photography exhibition, AND a special focus on careers in development. Tickets will also be available on the door Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
